A lie-in, buttered toast & coffee and cuddles from my girlies. *sigh*

  2. Always good to get home. Missed Davy's disco last night, had to dig out an old gem of my own, Don't Send Nobody Else by Ace Spectrum.
A lie in, eh, what the hell is that my 5 yr old thinks that 6:30 is also the time to get up at weekends.

  4. That is spooky Michael, oh yes.

It gets easier Drew: by the time they're 7+ they want to stay up late and then, bissfully, sleep through in the morning.

Although one also needs the Mrs to do the Cheerios de temps en temps...

Was sick to miss the disco post, but didn't land till nearly 9, and not home till gone 10 : (

    I don't know that track...should I ?

Word verif = reconsti = Italian for 'back together' (maybe)

  5. It was a Mrs H and me song. I bought a crackly secondhand 7" of it just because. Download courtesy Michael good people!

  6. Oh Mick. You old goat.

    Glorious.

Perhaps we could form a trio and cover songs such as these? Like a classier Batchelors. A warm trusted influence for the 20-somethings in a cold cynical world.

    Exits stage left.

Congrats on your appearance in the Guardian and thanks for pointing out my review, never would have found it otherwise.

  9. I always loved this. Had completely forgotten about it, and I'm sure I've got the single somewhere.
