I'm a 31C sort of guy if ever there was one so you won't catch me whingeing about this weather. Although I do wish we lived nearer a beach ('Aye, you can take the boy out of Devon but you can't...' etc).
I actually heard Jon Sa Trincha play this track at Salinas Beach in Ibiza, back when I had money (well, a debt-inducingly stupid limit on the credit card, at least) and the girls were small enough to smuggle on to aeroplanes free (hand luggage). I spent my 38th birthday at the bar there with them, quaffing cold San Miguel and throwing back battered calamari whilst back at the villa Mrs H did battle with the food poisoning she'd acquired from dodgy mussels at Cala D'Hort.
There's a swell mix of Jon's here if you're that way inclined. It very authentically captures his 'sound', I think.
School's out for summer!
I do hope that in due course someone will be going to the bar?
Funk For Sale - 'Ocean Games (remix)' (2002)
A bit early for the bar Mr H. Although I do have hunners of quality Montravel Sec, Bergerac Red and Rose and two litres of export strength Bombay Sapphire, no Tanqueray on the boat alas to quaff.
ReplyDeleteI will wait until we are out of "core hours".
Well done that girl btw.
Ah, ta. Yes, a tad early for the quaffing, though I may not last much beyond 4pm tbh.
ReplyDelete16:00 hrs, perfectly acceptable.
ReplyDeleteAye, there's allus a few dipsos in early doors
ReplyDeleteSchool out today. Sun out and glorious. I'm off to the bar right now. Who's in?
ReplyDeleteI've got to do the shopping and then I'm there.
ReplyDeleteCore hours not ended yet! But get me a large gin for precisely 16:00 hrs.
ReplyDeleteI very nearly left the One Dove 12" for you in the pub on Wednesday night SA rather than take it back up the road
Pint of bitter and a One Dove 12" please barkeep.
ReplyDeleteThe work laptop has now been switched off.
ReplyDeleteGin? Don't mind if I do.
So what's happening? Apart from the fact that SA now has something like 3 months off.
I can't speak for the rest of the world but what's happening here is a very large tanqueray & tonic with a gurt chunk of lime and ice - cheers!
ReplyDeletethat is a gurt?
ReplyDeletethis is brilliant http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/1sqnjR/:As7heJ2K:IzstTKSs/public.aregner.com/bubblewrap.swf/
ReplyDeleteHa! Did you try the 'Manic Model' (tick box bottom right) ??
ReplyDeleteGurt is Devon for 'great' - as in 'A gurt big dollop of clotted cream'.
ReplyDeleteevery day is indeed a school day.
ReplyDeleteOff to feel very very old tonight at a friend's son's friend's 21st!
6 weeks Drew, only 6 weeks. 3 months is a gurt exaggeration.
ReplyDeleteBombay Sapphire is a poor substitute for Tanqueray.
ReplyDeleteIn other news Max has decided he wants to be a punk, he was listening to No Fun from the Winterland concert
Lanark Laddie In Anarchy Mallarkey
ReplyDeletei can smell the good cheer. Britain basked in brilliant sun. ireland looking good also. off to kerry in the morning. expected to be 31 degrees down in south w. ireland!! unheard of. a few light peroni's is all i ask.
ReplyDeletethe kids have lined up that mumford cunt for the drive down so there is a dark side to every lining. as it were
'A few light Peronis is all I ask' - poetry anto, pure poetry.
ReplyDelete(Sorry about the Mumfords).
I found those Mumfords infecting my hard drive earlier on. Suffice to say they have been dealt with.
ReplyDeleteHave a good one Anto
Don't know about this centigrade nonsense anymore but it's 100F today here in the fair city of Boston (now fair with burnt skin).
ReplyDeleteYou and me in the summertime as I turn my white skin red
ReplyDeleteHello everybody. Supper's almost over. Beer's in the fridge. My daughter wants to play indoor tennis with me in the living room this evening. Really. Don't know if I (or the furniture) will survive. Looks like everything is gurt. Peroni's good but, speaking of italian beer, all you good folk should try Menabrea.
ReplyDeleteLuca.
To the pub! Pronto!
ReplyDeleteI tan quite nicely actually. Too bloody hot to go outside though. Will be spending the evening at home with the wife and kids, a movie, pizza, and some some bottles of Old Peculiar I have in the fridge.
ReplyDeleteDrew saved my life tonight. My daughter is bursting bubbles like there's no tomorrow. And my wife too.
ReplyDeleteLuca
What larks.
ReplyDeleteLee, I think 'I tan quite nicely actually' should be your new profile 'statement'.
Hey up Gloria's getting her baps out for the boys in the snug
ReplyDeleteWe don't sell to the under 12s and the only baps you'll see here is the cheese and pickle, so off out with you before I call your mother.
ReplyDeleteNipples like the wheel nuts on a scania
ReplyDeleteThe kids have agreed to listen to the masterworks series funk vols 1 & 2 for the drive which i thought was both democratic and tasteful of them.
Just in time!
ReplyDeleteWring me out and lay me across the bar.
Been on me todd this week. Aaaah! Daughter gorn to Magaluf with 11 other Inbetweeners. I've only had 1 takeaway meal (not including lunches obv). Boddingtons can be a meal in itself I've found.
Been to the Rugby League tonight with 18,000 others. Local derby. Hard work just cheering from the stands.
Oh dear. The sweat down Glo's cleavage has dribbled into davy's gin. He'll never know.
29C in Magaluf today. Poor souls, they must be freezing.
ReplyDeleteHi davy,
ReplyDeleteDo you still have any interest in my blog (which I've just restored)? If so, here it is:
