Yeah Baby

I've been Up West today with all those foreign tourists in their purple kagoules, stonewashed denim and Nikes; mullets, rucksacks and city maps. London seems drained of Londoners - and it'll be drained of us too from Tuesday when we're off to Zummerzet for a week, ooh-arr.

I have one more work thing to do - Frankfurt and back on Monday for just three hours work. Mad.

Tell you what, here's 7:58' of some well-jazzy dubstep.

Boss.

  4. Tune Mr H!

I do believe a large G&T is in order. Care to join me?

    Glo, two large ones.

Germany not got any snake oil sales persons then?

  6. Thank you Drew: I have indeed just enjoyed a large Tanqueray and tonic, lime, lots of ice. Yowzah.

    Snake oil's gone global.

Two coming up SA, you've earned yours too, just a bit x

  7. Gin tip, if tempted in Tesco's to buy Chancery London Dry Gin don't, it's not very good.

I bought Electric Ladyland on vinyl today for no discernible reason and am beginning to regret the impulse.

  8. Yes, you have to be careful with Jimi

  9. No, not that the album isn't brilliant, it is but I have it on cd and will play it may be a handful of times but for the money I paid I could have gotten a good soul single.

  10. Yes, you have to be careful in record shops

  12. Good evening everybody and welcome back to SA (I haven't had the opportunity to say it before). Still on holiday with my wife, my daughter and my mother-in-law. Basically I cannot even speak because of their neverending flow of speech.
I truly need something strong. Any tips?
    Luca.

  13. Rum and a big spliff, if not available, earplugs and a good book

But I haven't even left the house Mr H!

Set them up Glo, a round, some headache tabs for Luca and a couple in the tap for DVD, me thinks he may have good news to share this evening.

  14. The world is not ready for me high on hash, E or spliffs and I don't think it will ever be, so I think I'll make do with the usual 'media chiara' (that's a pint for you..) As for the good book, I'm reading Julian Cope's Krautrocksampler at the moment so that's being taken care of.
Money spent on Jimi (especially if it's on vinyl) is always well spent, Drew.

  17. Hello friends, I would like a pint of anything by the Brew Dog lads. very nice beers from the scotsmen.

Get yourself a bag of green Drew and wrap your ears around that record!! Always a favourite.
I work for a generic drug company who make drugs which sound like diseases rather than cures - Clitromycin !(over to you DVD). So Luca, take 2 Glicizides and an Acarbose. You won't hear, smell or feel anything but the views will be lovely.

  18. I'm going out for a walk with my wife and daughter so goodnight to all.
Anto, thanks for the tips but I like my mind and my body to be connected at all times (at least when I'm conscious). Have a good trip Davyh and say hello to DVD for me whenever he comes in.
Thanks to all for the kind words, this has been the longest conversation I managed to take part in all week!

  24. Hello my darlings
Subtle slide in from me. Pint for all Glo. No southern lager. And a fulsome array of bagged cheesy comestibles.

  25. Oh, cat's dragged his nibs in I see. Cheesy comestibles is off but we've scratchings.

  27. It seems my movements (no not those) are somewhat mirroring yours at the moment. It was Munich for me Mon/Tues this week, Mrs Darce and I will be joining the purple coated masses in London tomorrow for a day out (it's ever so cheap on the coach), and we are heading down to Kernow next week.

  28. Hope my old mate Luca is okay. He sounds like a little lost palomino pony scouring Sorrento bay 'neath a caramel moon whilst searching for a big bag of hay.

I've slipped a clitromycin in drew's rum. He'll never find it. And that BBC 4 Punk Britannia thing has a lot to answer for. Influencing the poor wee laddie like that. 'That's not music' - there's no discernable melody. Not like The Dooleys with their catchy knockabout quality and freshly Vosened hair.

Set em up again, Glo. Creme de Menthe for the International Bright Young soft skills guru.

Had a(nother) tough full-on week. Happy/sad rollercoaster-like in every respect. My lovely only child daughter had her 18th birthday. She has (not had) her first boyfriend. We went to Alton Towers. She passed her 'A Levels' confirming her place at Leeds Uni.
So, wef October ... it's Student Uni bars a-gogo/all-nighters/gigs/Anto's drugs/Pot Noodles and purple hair. Yes, her position at the local Uni will enable her to keep an eye on her old dad as he tries all of those things.

To say I am proud of her is a feckin understatement. Her mum's dying suddenly in January coulda sent her in any direction. Through sheer hard work, dedication and determination, she has battled to get the results needed. My profound sadness is for her mum who never got to be a part of it all.

    Drinks. More drinks.

  29. My midnight message across the world. (Well, this bar anyway).
Don't ever take each other for granted. Hold your loved ones close. Do no harm. (Inappropriate innuendo is a harmless gift).

And Love. That's all really. Love.

  30. I shall get these Dickie.

    Here's to N.

  31. Amen to that Dickie.
