"What Would Jimmy Buffett Do?"

He'd say...

Pour me somethin' tall and strong
Make it a hurricane before I go insane
It's only half past twelve but I don't care
It's five o'clock somewhere

  2. Evening Mr H.

Just in, long drive home tonight.

I think I was maybe a bit rash deciding to go aff it. I may have to have a glass of something.

    Have a good weekend.

  3. Foolish Drew, foolish, but we will forgive you for we are merciful: welcome home, we-eh-eh-el-come; come on in, and close the door.

Never worked nights Dickie, but you've made me play the RH song. Haven't bought the new one - first since Coles Corner I've not snapped up (long pause)

  4. Never worked nights but did plenty of allnighters and I can tell you it was more difficult to get a drink in Glasgow in the morning than you would think. Aberdeen on the other hand was pretty easy if you weren't scared of seriously hard looking dockers.

I've only heard good things about the new album Davy. I think I'm On Nights is my favourite RH song.

  5. Back on the booze, good stuff Drew. I haven't got the new Hawley yet but am aiming to rectify that on the morrow. You used to be able to get pints at dawn in Liverpool in the late 80s down the waterfront. I worked nights in the post office once. It was shite. Think that's everything covered.

  6. When we were students we'd always blether on about those pubs near Smithfield where you could get a pint at 8am, but speaking personally, and as an enormous jessie, I of course never did go.

I've streamed the Hawley - and feel a bit 'conflicted' about it, to be honest. I absolutely celebrate him moving forward, do 'get it' and am certain it will be gobsmacking live, but....oh god, I'm a 'Coles Corner'/'On Nights' old fruit, I really am.

  14. In a fairly prosaic and not at all 'A shot from the cabinet?' kind of way, I have vodka because of a glut of rhubarb led to some rhubarb schnapps making. I will report back on the rhubarb schnapps at some point.
