Looking For The Maximum

As the radio silence round here may have suggested, this week's been a bit full-on.

But never mind that now, innit - I have six plump Portobello limes downstairs in a bowl, a big tray of ice in the fridge and Mr Tanqueray, he comin' out to play.

This is a groove.

  3. Hello everybody. This has been one of the hottest days of this summer. Best things of the day the beer I just had. A bit nervous about work, maybe next week I will find out where I will be teaching next year. Hope all is well.

  13. To tell the truth sometimes I think I'd rather be stalked by zombies than spend the whole of saturday morning doing the week's ironing. At least I get to listen to music while doing it. I find disco oddly appropriate for that task. And yes, I should be sleeping right now.
    Yawn.. Luca.

  14. Luca. It seems that I spend most of my waking life ironing. Some of this is due to my taking 20 minutes per shirt. (A legacy of my time in the military). Find a long extension lead and set your board up outside in the sunshine. Music and plenty of cold drink (say .. Italian beer!) Just be careful after about 2 hours of this if the phone rings.
And coat hangers are the devils children. A panic attack is never far away as they tangle themselves around my soul.

  16. THAT goes down equally well with a Smirnoff tonic 'n' slice of lime (over lots of ice) a whole week later, my friend!
