  3. I don't think I actually knew what Darlene looked like before this picture. She's no bag of sprouts is she? (I could mention cracker, nuts, stuffing and liquers at this point, but will save it until Christmas day).

    Would place it in a Christmas all-time Top 10, I'll give you that, but ...

Interesting that both this song and the other truly revered Xmas tune (Have youself a merry little Christmas) are shot through with misery about who's not there or about imminent troubles. They're Xmas songs for people who can't take their Xmas straight which is say, almost everyone.
