I sort of know what you mean about CAF - there's lovely stuff on it though. The Marley LPs I play most are 'Exodus', 'Kaya' and 'Survival'. And the pre-fame stuff they recorded with Lee Perry is brill, as you'd expect.
Stir It Up is easily my favourite Marley tune, apart from Johnny Was (although I love that in the SLF versh). It just grooves, kind of like a more laidback brother to Let's Get It On...
Very nice but if you want to pull try this.
ReplyDeleteArf! It's something I haven't done for 15 years but you kind of wonder if you still can.
ReplyDeleteAnd now you've deleted your comment so my reply looks even more stupid.
ReplyDeleteI find this a deeply seductive song. Terrific Old Grey Whistle Test footage to boot. Gawd bless da BBC, etc.
ReplyDeleteSorry Mick. The comment was - 'You're obsessed with 'pulling' -

All you needed was that SOS Band LP. Bet you're kicking yourself now.
ReplyDeleteI downloaded Catch A Fire ~ left me a bit cold ironically. Mine's a Dębowe Mocne if your heading to the bar.
ReplyDeleteThey say they've only got Fosters.
