Yeah Baby

This came to me kindly from glen grainger, oft to be found in the saloon bar at Dusty Sevens, in return for Weekend services rendered; it is a lush and lovely rare groove classic and a fine thing I think to get our autumn Fridays here on the road.

Cheers glen, and cheers, indeed, to us all.

  3. That was bloody awful. But what''s worse is while in that fine dining establishment renowned for the culinary delight that is the Big Mac, L told me they were staying the night!

A very large gin if anyone's offering

  4. For new readers - Drew has been to see 'The Smurfs' movie tonight with four 7 year olds. Please remember him in your prayers.

  5. Just had a can of M&S ready to drink Mojito purchased at Euston station last evening, if have not tried one don't bother they're bogging and I now have a craving for roast lamb.

4 little devils up stairs bouncing off of the walls why are Haribo not banned!

  6. I have no advice about the 4 7 year olds. Just keep drinking and it'll all seem better.

  7. Love this. Never heard it before. Thanks.

1984 - behind the curve somewhat methinks for such grooviness.

Absolutely zero chance of me finding this at the "boot" today I'd wager (that's of course assuming the rain holds off and there is a boot today.)

  8. I'd never heard it before either Darce - though glen points out that it has a similar vibe to Light Of The World's 'London Town' (1980). Lush vocal though, really lovely.

  9. I can see what glen means re LOTW,

Boot was rain interrupted and shiny black round things were thin on the ground but VERY pleased with an album from one of the premier 60s Congolese rhumba bands! I will blog it soon!

  11. Free School, a couple of guys from Birmingham there is a remix on the b-side which is equally as good. Got Nolan Micron to thanks for the heads up but hadn't really listened to it until tonight.
