You Tube user "TheLizzie12" writes - "I so love baddddddd Hollywood musicals of the 1970s, and there were plenty! This has to be one of the worst. In the UK, Coronation Street fans will be thrilled to see little Simon Barlow being picked up by Liv UIlman @ 0.11 and shouting "Whoah!" (ha ha)"

(but possibly that's not important right now). It's not Liv Ullman singing, of course. And as I'm sure the 'buffs' amongst you will know, the original Frank Capra movie is very special...".

I've been wanting to post this for ages.
It'll get more downloads than anything else I've put here for months, you see.
(Though possibly not more comments. PS: There's great footage of Bacharach directing a load of kids to sing this here. He is wearing an interesting sweater).
ReplyDeleteWelcome home Davy. There's nowt like an interesting sweater.
ReplyDeleteYou just know it's a man-made fibre too.
ReplyDeleteActually, no, what I am saying. Bacharach = classy. It'll be cashmere.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but 70s classy - 80% rayon.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back - nice hols?
This and 'Question Me An Answer' remind me of school holidays playing Air Charter with my friend while my mum had Radio 2 on in the background. We had the LP too.
ReplyDeleteSplendid thank you Adam.
ReplyDeleteRadio 2 Back Then, very Michael. And you are to be congratulated because that looks to be the sort of game I would open, fail to work out how to play and put back in the box never to mention again : (
It would have been the JY prog, as it was known, with Raymondo asking "What's the recipe today, Jim?" To my kids a game comes on a shiney disc and goes into a console.
ReplyDeleteThe daughters spent hours over the summer hols playing Monopoly - the Brighton edition, bizarrely.
ReplyDeleteI know the one. You build gay bars instead of hotels ;)
ReplyDeleteGood to have you back dear boy. It's been lonely without you. Haven't quite caught up with this Twitter mallarkey.
