The Smiling Hour

Marvellous jumpin' jive from an old NME tape I jammily picked up in LP form.

Are you hip to where the cats cut after the show?

  1. Stompin' At The Savoy! I had that on vinyl; hope I still do, somewhere. Loved that number, but there wasn't a duff track on the album.

Also of course featured Slim & Slam, on adjacent tracks but not together.

  4. No snow here thank fuck but colder than the proverbial witch's thing.

Dark rum and ginger beer for me, Glo and one for everyone else, checked the bank earlier and wasn't as overdrawn as I thought, still well over but not outrageously so. I feel a Friday night trip to the soul section of ebay coming on.

  8. I'm really grooving to this song, davy! Thanks so much for re-upping it. Pop over to mine tomorrow for some box treats. (No one's ever called me a connoisseur before . . . talk like that might go to my head!)
