Perhaps I should have quit on Friday and left that Donna Summer picture
at the top of the page forever, hanging in cyberspace as a talisman
(taliswoman?) for all future visitors, a Moroderesque rune for those who
come later, speaking the lost and lovely language 'disco' ?
And yet we must move on I suppose. Still, I haven't been able to post
Teenage Fanclub's 'December' as I had planned because that would have
meant following La Summer with a pic of some scrawny lank-haired
Glaswegians and I'm sorry, I just couldn't do it.
Here's some Kate then. A seasonal single nobody bought!
Happy Advent!

I'm not going to comment on that picture. No. Not at all.
ReplyDeleteNo, not the lilac leotard again! It's all too much.
ReplyDeleteBarely recall this song. Well remembered Davy old lad.
Bushy bird at her barking best with lovely bells and castanets!
It's certainly quite whoopy isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI think I'm right in saying that Kate wrote this after hearing the news that The Paul Daniels Magic Show had just been recommissioned by the BBC and was due to start in early December. Proper chuffed she were.
ReplyDeleteThe famous lilac leotard picture that was ALWAYS CROPPED WAY TOO HIGH!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd you with bad eyes too...Tchh.

ReplyDeleteThis was the cover of a book that came out in the late 70s, a sword and sorcery thing. Look familiar?
Did we like Pamela Stephenson or was she very annoying? I'm not sure.
ReplyDeleteDick, we all know that's you in the mac.
That clip is a but annoying but I used to fancy her. I remember particularly liking this as a young lad with raging hormones.
ReplyDelete..and I believe Dick is innocent. Justice for the Yorkshire one!
So it was you! Flushed you out!
