I do believe that I find myself in agreement with you Davy. Before listening I admit I was rather sceptical but that was absolutely gorgeous, although Ewan MacColl would probably have disagreed with us.
I'm not a big fan of this song. I love the first two lines and then it just loses me. Dunno why. I've never liked it as a song. It's the sort of thing I should adore.
You civilized readers might like to know that Mick's distinguished brother and I had a fine party in the comment space at his blog tonight. We committed this horrid offense because Mick made the mistake of leaving us alone for a time. There's lessons to be learned, you bloggers.... And friend Davy, just so you know, your good name was bandied about in a casual fashion along the way.
If any of y'all folks like late 60's or early 80's rarities, please drop by here and scroll down before Mick trashes it all. We bad yes. But it was sooo fun.

ReplyDeleteSalut
BTW - still sunny up here as well
Yay! (pt.2)
ReplyDeletePS: I reckon Ewan MacColl has his finger in his ear so isn't hearing the reggae.
Can't listen to this yet because I'm on a borrowed laptop but greetings from Scotland.
ReplyDeleteNice up here ain't it Mick?
ReplyDeleteGreat, Drew. Got a sun tan today over at Broughty Ferry and walking round Clatto Park with the dog.

ReplyDeleteIt's a great performance of it though.
You do realise it will be snowing tomorrow?
ReplyDeleteAye, and beware the midges.
ReplyDeleteI brought my skis just in case and yes the midges of Huntly Wood (where I walk the dog in the morning) have been feasting on me.
