Soul Thursday

Sometimes, when there is much malarkey abroad and blether in the air, a person needs some old soul in their ears to drown the nonsense out.

Roscoe Robinson - 'That's Enough' (1966)

[One of Paul Weller's Desert Island Discs, as it goes].

  8. So it would seem soul Th. is followed by forgotten F. that is followed by sufferin' Sat. because, I'm thinkin,' you were at the Royal W. and are still recoverin.' Wasn't that you sitting scrunched up close to the Queen of Denmark on your right and some dish that is not Mrs. H. on your left? I say, I saw you on the tele. Good thing they didn't play any Roscoe at the big event.
