Blue Monday

It's a filthy old drizzly old dark old wet leaves on sodden pavements kind of Monday morning here.

But this one never fails to warm the cockles of my heart.

Louis Armstrong - 'Do You Know What It Means To Miss New Orleans?' (live in Chicago) (1956)

(from another of my lovely old LPs from Ray's Jazz, RIP - the kind of place I'd seek shelter in on days like these).

  1. 1) Love the picture of Louie

    2) Love the song

    3) Love the kind of day you describe so well. As long as I don't have to work. Unfortunately, it's never so moody/cozy on my off days, just when I need to drive in it during rush hour.

  2. Ah, I know what you mean. Usually those days are the ones on which I have to rise early and trudge to the station, all brolly and wet shoes.

Yesterday I went to ground: just me and a tea and Louis' righteous sound...
