We'll Talk Away The Morning, Read The Papers, Misbehave

A song for the day, and for the mood if the day is good.

A rarity, the B-side of a 1983 single 'Here's To The Band', and the only Sinatra recording to feature only his vocal and a solo acoustic guitar.

Music by Jule 'Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend' Styne, lyrics by Susan Birkenhead; guitar - Tony Mottola.

A simple sketch from a master artist in his twilight years. Hope you like it.

Frank Sinatra - 'It's Sunday' (1983)

(Available on The Reprise Collection - buy).

  1. Like it? I love it. Some people seem to think that Sinatra was shit. I cant understand any of them. A truly great voice that melts in your head.

  2. He must have been in his 70s or whatever when he recorded this.....and yet if you'd asked me I'd have said it was 30 or 40 years earlier. Proof that if you've a voice, it stays with you for life.

  3. Glad you liked this one chaps - thanks for the comments, as ever.

  4. what a lovely record. i've recently discovered 'watertown', sinatras weird pop lp that has me in tears every time. it's no ' in the wee small hours' but i can't work out why it's so lost.

  5. Oooh. Have heard of, but not heard, that. Top tip.
