PVD

I can't leave those spuds up here all Monday, it feels wrong.

Here's a little something that resulted from a cupboard rummage just the other day; a six minute long, trancey reinvention of a song from Republic by Dutch DJ/producer Paul Van Dyk - which I rather like.

New Order - 'Spooky (Out Of Order mix)' (1998)

  1. Mr H in dance remix post shocker!

It looks more than likely trip to Budapest tomorrow will be cancelled.

  2. It is a shocker isn't it. I don't find most of this stuff has dated too well, but there's something spacey about this I like.

    Edinburgh Airport closed, huh?

  3. Glasgow and Edinburgh both shut. The main motorways shut. It looks unlikely that I will get into Glasgow to see Billy Bragg tonight!

  4. Good remix this. Not often you can say that about New Order

  5. True dat. They always seem to bugger up the song - this sort of stretches it...

  6. I would disagree with you SA

I'm quite partial to both the Fire Island and Weatherall remixes of Regret, the Steve Silk Hurley mixes of Fine Time, The Brothers In Rhythm mix of The price Of Love and the Fluke mixes of Spooky and did I mention the different mixes of Confusion!

    I know I'm being a prick but I'm in a bad mood!

  8. I did say 'not often'- I took the Weatherall remixes of Regret as being sacrosant and the exceptions that prove the rule. Fire Island I can live without. Fluke of Spooky- yep, Steve Silk Hurley probably, after that diminishing returns. Confusion was always a mix anyway- Arthur Baker and NO could never decide which was the finished article.
