I Don't Need Sunny Skies


I loved this when I was little and I love it forty years later.

Only truly great pop songs go on giving in this way.

It was a demo too!

    One of my earliest musical memories is playing this record. I used to be fascinated by the ending.

    Yes - an inspired pick and no mistake. Treat yersen to some jelly babies.

    This was in the charts when I was born and, like so many folk, I have a great affection for it.

    The girl was something of a genius for one so young.

    Indeed Dickie. Age when she wrote this = 20 (Gerry Goffin = 23).
